Thanks for the professional analysis and sobering reminder of how lethal operations work in real life. Fifty plus years ago, in an Asian land far away, a team of a half dozen guys had the assignment to disrupt the regional government by making the role of leadership an unpopular vocation. Your description of the logic, and process transported this old man back to a time I thought I had forgotten. I hope the men responsible for the safety of our senior leaders see this performance as a wake up call. I happen to like our president, and vice president. I pray for their safety and the safety of their family every day. I imagine that like me, you don’t see “Luck” as the centerpiece of protective strategy. Maybe this wake-up call will herald a new approach to developing a security plan.
This is the best analysis Ive seen on this. My thoughts immediately go to coordinated attacks. Or like you mentioned "Was he just tue trigger" to start chaos. What if there had been an IED in a backpack, a VBIED outside, an Airborne IED (term I use for drones with a simple explosive) waiting to hit people being evacuated launched from miles away?
Fantastic write up Mike. Having been involved in a few presidential security events myself I find this oddly lax. I’m not saying it was intentionally lax, but I know I’ve seen better security with way better layers.

I don’t believe that was the real Secret Service.

But, Did they really?
The more interesting question: They’ve failed multiple times and the investigations have all been pulled.
Why?
My take: Trump knows who’s responsible, so he doesn’t really care if the investigation goes through.
Nothing but love, God bless
100% correct analysis Mike, I think maybe the POTUS should have you conduct security plans around him and events he attends🫡
Excellent article. Have you looked at the possibility that it was staged? Your experience and perspective could add a lot to this debate.
💯💯💯% Spot on Mike...Professionally stated

Great assessment. 100% right.
Thank you for sharing the untold side of the story. It’s so needed in today’s society.
Wow
They took Vance out before the POTUS? Ouch.
And after Jan6 the Secret Service had their phones WIPED. Yeah, they’re the Keystone Cops alright. SS (where are the lightning bolts?)
